Penny Margolis paints a world filled with color and harmony. A fanciful touch and a hint of the mystical infuse the creatures, gardens and villages of her faraway dreamlands. Pieces such as

introduce other places, other folks.Yet, you find yourself in a place very close to the heart. The intricate, yet innocent paintings with handcrafted frames, decorated in the same style are art that makes you feel good. Penny is self-taught, although she has been surrounded by art of one sort or another. Her husband Al, is in advertising and an art school graduate, he has helped her develop her art abilities. She has a great eye for detail and arrangement. When she started painting and giving them as gifts the reaction was so strong that we gradually got started showing. Penny and Al have been married for 43 years, have 3 sons and 4 grandchildren. She loves to take care of her birds, dogs, paint, cook and antique shopping. Her home has many collectibles, filling all corners - just like her paintings. Lots of light, lots of color, no empty spaces! Al makes her frames from rough sawn wood, Penny paints each frame individually, using elements from the paintings.
